Intercall Systems 2018 Innovations

For over 48 years Intercall Systems has been an innovator in Nurse Call Systems.  Thousands of hospitals and staff facilities have Intercall Nurse Call Systems installed.  Many of these systems are over 35 years old and still operating and serviceable. Intercall products are backwards compatible within the same product line and highly reliable.   As the industry leader in Nurse Call systems and technology, Intercall Systems has several new products launched in 2018, including:

The MICRA is the newest additions to the powerful ULTRA Series of Master Stations. The MICRA is a smaller stand-alone master station, one third the size of the 9000 Master Station, and comes standard with the software features as the full ULTRA systems.

The MICRA incorporates the basic features of the UNC9210 such as Direct Call and Utility screens, and features such as Staff Locator, Nurse Follower and Patient Scan and more. The MICRA is a self-contained unit which consist of a 7″ Touch screen display and audio communication module in a single package. The audio communication module includes a 2-way amplifier with a 2 1⁄4-inch speaker and electret microphone for hands free communication and a handset for privacy.  The MICRA is the perfect solution as a second master station, or serves as the master station on a floor with fewer rooms. The MIRCA is UL listed and ready for delivery.

As leading provider of Nurse Call products, Intercall Systems now offers the choice of a medical grade computer as part of the product line.  The Phoenix-MG belongs to the Intercall Systems Ultra Nurse Call product line and is offered in addition to the standard Phoenix as part of the master nurse call station. Some nurse call applications do not need the specific demands of medical grade system, but for those that do, the Phoenix-MG is up for the tasks.

The enhancements of the Phoenix-MG include:

  • Sealed Bezel – Front sealed bezel that makes cleaning and disinfecting easy and no need to worry about liquids getting inside the system.
  • Antimicrobial Housing – The special housing helps prevent the spread of germs.
  • Touch Screen – No keyboard or mouse required, but they are provided (both anti-microbial).
  • Flexible Software – This powerful user-friendly Windows®-based software gives the staff endless options to customize communications.
  • Integration with Ultra System – Both the Phoenix and Phoenix-MG touchscreen computers interface with the  Ultra Series Nurse Call system.

The Phoenix-MG has passed the rigorous UL 1069 certification process and is now available to health care facilities.

Often when a new Nurse Call system is installed or retrofitted to an older systems, entire floors need to be turned off and reducing the hospital’s operating efficiency. The RJ45 Assembly Module allows Intercall Systems to install individual rooms at a time, while leaving the remaining rooms operational, until such time they can be vacacted and installed with the new system.  The circuitry distributes power, data and audio to a set of stations from a single loop connection; Facilitating the installation of stations to an active floor using CAT6 cable.

Intercall’s engineers are constantly adding new features and reports to the Ultra system meeting the the needs of the health care providers.  This powerful user-friendly Windows®-based software gives the staff endless options to customize communications.  Many of these features turn into standard features of the systems, including many new management reports. Reporting features do not require a second application or third party app, Management Reporting is standard with the Ultra System.
