The MICRA is a microcontroller-based stand-alone master station. This master station receives and answers calls from patient rooms and other staff locations. Moreover, the MICRA incorporates the basic features of the UNC9210 including Direct Call and Utility screens. Staff Locator, as well as Nurse Follower and Patient Scan, are also features.
As a self-contained unit, the MICRA consists of a 7-inch touch screen display and audio communication module all in one. The audio communication module consists of a 2-way amplifier with a 2 1⁄4-inch speaker and electret microphone for hands-free communication. It also includes a handset for privacy.
A minimum of 12 programmable levels of calls are features of the MICRA. These features include Normal, Priority, Staff Assist, Cordout, Code Blue, etc. For easy recognition, each call is identified by a unique icon color and an accompanying programmable tone signal. The master includes a USB port for updates and downloading of settings to transfer to another master station.
An ethernet port is included to further expand its capabilities. Programming room numbers is done using either a UNC9210 master station or the MICRA’s own user interface.
